Doringo is loyal to his captain and crew, as he charged into battle with them. Like many of his crewmates, he was initially cold towards Kouzuki Oden when Roger brought him aboard, but quickly warmed up to him. Nevertheless, he seems like a cheerful person, and laughed out loud when Rayleigh, even while rescuing Shakky, asked his comrades to collect the treasures lying around. Like many other characters, he has a unique laugh: "Da-ha-ha."
