Lucifero is a tall figure with four bat-like wings, four curved upward-pointing horns coming from the temples and the sides of his head, long light-colored hair, pointed teeth, and pointed ears. His eyes have dark-colored sclera, red-colored irises, and vertical slit pupils. His hands are thin and boney with dark-colored fingernails.

Like most devils, Lucifero is arrogant and cruel, looking down on those he considers weaker than himself, like lower-ranked devils and humans. As such, he holds little regard for their feelings, using and killing them as he sees fit and forcing them to prostrate themselves before him. He is also extremely quick to anger, as even a slight cut on his hand is more than enough to send him into intense rage and get him to mercilessly pummel down the person who managed to hurt him, even when he was putting the weapon that cut him on his hand to test it. However, Lucifero did give Asta, Nacht, Yami, and Yuno credit for hurting him, acknowledging them as being worthy of his full strength. Despite his immense strength, Lucifero seems to lack any real combat skills beyond punching and slamming foes down with his immense strength. This is a detriment, as the Magic Knight captains realized that Anti-Magic can actually harm Lucifero and distracted him long enough for Asta to cut him down once and for all.

Immense Magic Power: As the strongest devil connected to the Tree of Qliphoth, Lucifero possesses immense magic power that threatens to destroy the living world if released. Even in an incomplete form, his magic power is overwhelming and constantly increases, faster than Henry Legolant can drain it, and allowing him to combat seven boosted Magic Knight Captains at the same time with no effort. On the other hand, Lucifero appears to lack any combat skills and mostly relied on brute strength to overwhelm his opponents. Immense Strength: Even in an incomplete form, Lucifero is strong enough to stop a swing from Asta's Demon-Slayer Sword and completely hold it in place with just one hand. He can also send Asta flying into the ground with tremendous force with only a single punch. With one hand, he caught an incoming punch from Mereoleona Vermillion and crushed the bones in her left forearm. Immense Speed: Even in an incomplete form, Lucifero is able to clear great distances in an instant. Immense Durability: Even in an incomplete form, Lucifero is unharmed by Slash Magic and intense Fire Magic. Anatomy Manipulation: While using the full power of his half-manifestation, Lucifero is able to transform his wings into extra arms. Devil Possession: Lucifero has the ability to take control of the bodies of low-ranked devils, regardless of where they are. Once the second gate opens, Lucifero can control countless devils all at once and combine them into a body into which he can manifest himself.
