Topknot is a Sea King. It is one of the six Sea Kings that speak to Shirahoshi when she fully manifests the power of Poseidon.

Like its fellow Sea Kings, Topknot respects Poseidon (Shirahoshi) as its queen and responds to her call. It also values Noah and intervened to stop Luffy from destroying the ship, as it awaits the "promised day" when the the ship will be used.
