Jin Chae Won is the leader of the C-R Alliance and is known as the Monarch of Gluttony thanks to her Gu Poison Relic. In the original timeline, she was the strongest of the Four Emperors until she mysteriously committed suicide in front of Seo Joo-Heon. According to Lee Seol-Ah, it is believed that she took her own life out of affection for Seo Joo-Heon since the latter became very close with her under orders of Chairman Kwon Tae-Joon.

In the original timeline, she was the strongest of the Four Emperors until she mysteriously committed suicide in front of Seo Joo-Heon. According to Lee Seol-Ah, it is believed that she took her own life out of affection for Seo Joo-Heon since the latter became very close with her under orders of Chairman Kwon Tae-Joon. According to Lee Seol-Ah, it is believed that she took her own life out of affection for Seo Joo-Heon since the latter became very close with her under orders of Chairman Kwon Tae-Joon. After she executed Wade Harman for failing to kill Seo Joo-Heon and instead was poisoned by his Nergal's Relic and Wade Harman's Goebbels' Relic was taken, she decided to confront Seo Joo-Heon by herself this time. To accomplish this, she first drugged her former subordinate and Seo Joo-Heon's new teammate Lee Seol-Ah's drink in order to kidnap her, trap her in a tomb she created to punish her for her betrayal, and use Ancient Roman Poet Ovidius's (The Metamorphoses) Original Text and A Cognitive Psychologist's Memory Research Dictionary to disguise herself as Lee Seol-Ah. She planned to use this disguise to get closer to Seo Joo-Heon and kill him. However, this plan was foiled due to the Crow's warning and Seo Joo-Heon's ability to notice even the slightest change in facial features. Consequently, she unmasked herself and used her Gu Poison Relic to create a tomb inside his house to take him out. After a long battle, Seo Joo-Heon became the victor. After she regained some of her memories of her past life, she refused to execute Seo Joo-Heon and instead helped Seo Joo-Heon obtain Gu Poison Relic the next time they met. Consequently, Seo Joo-Heon decided to spare her life and convince her to work as a prison guard at a confinement center for SS and SSE rank relics along with Xufu's Relic.
