Jink is a petty and jealous man, which is exemplified by his bullying of Eugeo due to Alice spending more time with Eugeo than him. Jink is also arrogant and does not have much control over his emotions, as seen when he became furious and began shouting when he heard that Eugeo would be allowed to leave the village to attempt to become a guard at Zakkaria.

Jink is a large man with wilted-leaf-coloured, short hair and a stern look. After becoming a guard, he usually carries a simple-looking longsword at his waist. Jink disliked Eugeo, as the boy was always with Alice, the girl Jink himself liked. As a result, Jink resorted to bullying him on multiple occasions, such as hiding Eugeo's shoes for a day, putting bugs into Eugeo's meal bag, or taunting Eugeo when he was with Alice. Jink was the leader of a gang when he was young. As he was the first son of the previous guard captain, he was assigned the Sacred Task of being a guard apprentice in the spring after reaching ten years of age, eventually succeeding his father as the captain of the guards.
