Lucius Zogratis 「ルシウス・ゾグラティス Rushiusu Zoguratisu」 is the eldest of the Zogratis siblings and the host of the devil Astaroth.

Lucius is a megalomaniacal man with a severe messiah complex, deeming himself the only person capable of ruling over humanity successfully. Despite this, Lucius is extremely intelligent and cunning, capable of long-term planning and manipulation, being able to fool the Clover Kingdom and his siblings at the same time for more than fifteen years, going completely under suspicion and playing a long game against them that hinged on the other parties responding the way he wants them to. Lucius is extremely determined in achieving his "reformation plans" for the world and will stop at nothing trying to enact it. Lucius has a great reverence of magic and deems it the defining value of a person's worth, which is why he scorns magicless people like Asta as flaws. He usually carries himself with aloofness and is almost never seen without a smug, mildly amused smile on his face, but never drops his guard against any potential threats against his plans and will arrange multiple counter-measures to delay their arrival, hinder their progress or eliminate them, as shown when he realized Yuno will pose a threat to his plans and promptly uses a clone created out from his Soul Magic to trick him into expending his expensive spells. This sets him apart from several other similarly powerful devil hosts or devils such as Dante Zogratis or Lucifero, who mostly rely on their sheer brute strength to get things across and are so powerful and arrogant that they refuse to take potential threats seriously, allowing much weaker opponents to catch them off guard and take them out. During his battle against Asta and Yuno, he continues to insist that as the world's greatest flaw Asta is causing everyone untold misery, completely disregarding in the pain and despair his own actions create, including resurrecting and brainwashing his enemies' loved ones to use as soldiers or living shields. Before their final battle, Yuno calls out Lucius' hypocrisy for deluding himself into thinking he's a god who will grant humanity salvation, when in reality he is nothing more than a self-righteous megalomaniac who simply wants to control the world. While Lucius is stoic for the most part, he is not immune to strong emotions but merely exhibits them in a more subdued manner (compared to his siblings). Immense Magic Power: As a devil host, Lucius possesses an immense amount of magic power. After consuming Lucifero's hearts, Lucius's magic power reserves have been greatly enhanced. His magic power is vast enough for him to create multiple clones of himself and destroy and levitate portions of the Royal Capital easily. Immense Speed: With enhancements from Time Magic, Lucius is extremely fast, managing to evade Asta's attacks and ki-sensing ability. Immense Strength: After consuming Lucifero's hearts, Lucius gains the devil's incredible physical strength, allowing him to destroy a brick roof with one punch and to stop and hold Yuno Grinberryall's Spirit of Zephyr with a single hand. Genius Intellect: Most likely his most prominent trait is his tactful intellect and immense knowledge of magic, being able to trick the Clover Kingdom and his siblings for more than fifteen years beneath suspicion, and only exposes himself when all the preparations for his end-game were complete. He is also very charismatic, convincing many high-ranking Devils to join him in his crusade. Skilled Combatant: Much like Zenon, Lucius can fight coherently and can match both Asta and Yuno simultaneously to a complete stalemate, completely evading their attacks while dishing out powerful magic of all attributes in return. Even when losing composure, he is still capable of fighting and evading attacks consistently, requiring an opening made by Noelle for Asta and Yuno to land a decisive blow. According to Lucius himself, only Asta and Yuno have the prowess required to take him out. Only by the joined forces of the entire Clover Kingdom and multiple other external forces does his rampage come to a halt (way more than the number of people required to individually put down his siblings and Lucifero) to defeat him. Devil-Possessed: Lucius is host to the devil Astaroth, who grants him immense power and access to Time Magic. Of his family, Lucius has the greatest aptitude and highest potential as a devil host. With his Soul Magic, he can purify devil power to create a holy power, as well as impart this power onto others. Multiple Mana Attributes: Due to being devil-possessed, Lucius can use his own Soul Magic and Astaroth's Time Magic. After consuming Lucifero's heart, he also gains the ability to use Gravity Magic. He later assimilates his siblings' magic attributes into himself. Precognition: Lucius can foresee tens of thousands of potential futures using Time Magic, allowing him to analyze countless outcomes and select the single path that leads to his victory.
